Stephen Owen Summer, PC, is uniquely qualified in the area of entertainment law because of the scope of its owner, Stephen Summer. Stephen has been involved in the music industry for over 40 years. He began his career as a drummer/percussionist performing and recording with artists such as: Kirk Whalum, Bob James, Andy Williams, The Brew, Tony Campisi and Beto y los Fairlanes. In addition to his performance career, Stephen obtained a Masters in Music from the University of Texas and a law degree from South Texas College of Law. He has been practicing law since 2000, and represents a variety of folks in the music industry. He also teaches a Music Business class at Texas State University. His unique position, as a performer, lawyer and teacher allows for an unrestricted point of view when dealing with music industry related issues. He is currently serving on the board of directors of the Texas Entertainment and Sports Law section of the State Bar (TESLAW).
