COPYRIGHTS

Copyright is a form of protection provided by U.S. Copyright law to authors of "original works of authorship." It attaches to original works of authorship that are fixed in a tangible form of expression whether published or unpublished. The following is a list of the various categories of copyrightable works:

  • Literary works - books, poems, manuals, catalogs

  • Musical works, including any accompanying words

  • Dramatic works, including any accompanying music

  • Pantomimes and choreographic works

  • Pictorial, graphic, and sculptural works

  • Motion pictures and other audiovisual works

  • Sound recordings

  • Computer programs

  • Advertising and marketing materials

  • Architectural Works
